Illegal sand transportation : 2 tippers seized at Padil

Mangaluru, Oct 30, 2016: Two tippers  which were illegally transporting  sand  reportedly from Kannur to Dakshina Kannada were seized by the Police at Padil Junction on October 29, Saturday. The value of the seized sand is  estimated at Rs 6 lakhs while the value of the trucks has been put at Rs 15 lakh.

The drivers  of the two vehicles did not have any valid documents regarding the sand transportation.  Further investigations are in progress.
