Inter –Collegiate Cultural Festival-2013 inaugurated

Mangalore, Sep 5, 2013 : The Inter-Collegiate Cultural Festival-2013 organised by Mangalore University was inaugurated on September 4, Wednesday at the Mangala Auditorium of the University by well-known theatre artiste Dr B Jayashree who is also a Rajya Sabha Member.

In her address, Jayashree said  art and culture enlivens minds and hearts and urged youngsters to develop interest  in the same.

Prof. TC Shivashankeramurthi, Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University, presided over the function. Prof. PS Yadapadittaya, Registrar, PL Dharma, Student Welfare Officer and others were present at the function.

Over 65 colleges are participating in the event which is being held in various categories including  classical vocal and instrumental, light vocal, western vocal, group song and folk orchestra among music, folk and classical dance, quiz, elocution, clay modeling, collage, cartooning, photography etc.
