Introductory to Vishwa Tuluvere Parba

Mangaluru, Dec 05, 2014: Eight-days of  Tulu drama festival on the premises of the Sahyadri College of Engineering and Technology, Adyar, from December 4 as a prelude to the three-day Vishwa Tuluvere Parba from December 12.

Tulu playwright P. Sanjeeva Dandekeri would inaugurate it at 5.30 p.m. on December 4, a release said.

Tulu plays Aarati, Koti Chennaya, Nama Teriyonuga, Bangar Kandani, Sathyoda Siri, Aa Nagamache, Nenapudeele and Pagarida Manchavu would be staged on those days. Eight senior Tulu artistes — Sanjeeva Adyar, Catharine Rodrigues, R K Mangaluru, Shadra Barkur, Raghava Attavar, Roopa Attavar, Khyali D S, Ibrahim Tannirbavi — would be felicitated during the festival.

The organising committee of the Vishwa Tuluvera Parba has arranged cultural competitions for pre-university, degree and professional students on the college premises on December 11 and 12.

Teams from colleges could contact the committee for registering their names, the release states.
