Jamaath-e-Islami state president visits homes of plane crash victims

Mangalore, May, 25:  Mr. Abdullah Javed, the state president of Karnataka and Goa Jamaath-e-Islami, arrived at Mangalore on the morning of Tuesday to visit the families of the plane crash victims. He was accompanied by Abdussalam U., the coastal area organizer of the Jamaath-e-Islami; K. M. Ashraf, the president of Mangalore unit; and other Jamaath-e-Islami activists. 


The team visited bereaved families in Jeppu, Kotepura, Mangaladevi, Ullal, Kannur, Padil, and Kandathpalli, expressed their heartfelt condolences, and consoled the victims and close relatives. The team also visited the injured in the hospitals. 


Later in the evening, the state president left Mangalore with Area Organizer Abdussalam U. to Udupi to visit the homes of the plane crash victims in Kundapur, Udupi, Kaup, and Bhatkal. 


Jamaath-e-Islami activists, H. R. S. volunteers, and S. I. O Youth Wing J. I. H. members accompanied by several other Muslim organizations were busy involved in different relief activities such as removing dead bodies from the crash sites, loading and unloading the bodies in hospitals, helping victims’ relatives to identify their loved one’s bodies, bathing dead bodies in the Zeenath Baksh Mosque at Bunder, and transporting them to their homes on Saturday and Sunday.
