Dr. Lekha Pandit, professor of neurology and director of the advanced neurology research department at K S Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) in Deralakatte has been selected to receive Jacqueline Du Pre Award, a prestigious international award instituted by Multiple Sclerosis International.
Jacqueline Du Pre Award is the world’s most prestigious award conferred on scientists who conduct special studies on multiple sclerosis, a disease that transforms its victims into cripples and drowns them in pain and misery.
Dr. Lekha is the first Indian to receive this award, which includes rich opportunities to conduct research in multiple sclerosis in any university of the world for a period of 6 months.
