KSRTC buses collide more than 25 injured

Kokkada, June 06, 2016: Reports from Puttur say, at least 28 people suffered injuries after two KSRTC buses collided at Parpikallu near Kokkada on June4, Saturday evening.

It is said that a bus plying from Dharmasthala to Subrahmanya collided head-on into an oncoming bus. It is said that one of the buses fell into a road side water drain.

The injured were identified as driver Chinnaswamy (48), Kempayya (50), Laxman (65), Harish (45), Ravi Naik (28), Mahesh (42), Heamaltha (36), Maithri (10), Divakar (64), Bindu (16), Manitha (45), Sanjeeva (74), Chandrakanth (32), Praveen Kumar, Thimmanna, Pallavi, Bhavani, Mahesh, Mahesh P, Prabhudev, Maheshwari and Maithri M; they were admitted to various hospitals. A case was registered at Uppinangady police station.
