Udupi, Nov 17, 2015 : The Karnataka high court on Nov 16, granted a week’s time to the Railways to respond to a PIL filed by Railway Yatri Sangha, Udupi. A division bench headed by Acting Chief Justice Subhro Kamal Mukhrjee noted that it is not proper to summon General manager or other officials in such matters and asked the advocate to seek instruction by next week.
The petitioner has claimed that in the said term Railway budgetary speech for the year 2014, the Railway Minister had announced introduction of a pair of trains bearing Nos.16515 and 16516 on the route of Bengaluru to Mangaluru and the same is not implemented so far.
