Kasargod : 4 arrested for smuggling ganja in train

Kasargod, sep 14, 2013 : Four men who were found transporting ganja in  the Delhi-Ernakulam train have been arrested by the Kasargod police on September 13, Friday.  The police have seized 10 kg of ganja from them.

The arrested are Mohammed Riyaz (35), P M Naushad (31), K M Abdul Sattar (51) and K M Imtiaz (29). The four were trapped when they alighted at the Kasargod railway  station. Five packets of ganja with 2 kg of drugs in each of them were found in the  bags with them.

Interrogations revealed that they had smuggled ganja in a similar fashion even in the past. It is worth mentioning here that the police have seized as much as four tons of ganja in different raids in the district in the past six month period.
