Mangalore Today News Network

Kasargod, Nov 9, 2012: Kasargod witnessed violent clashes between the Indian Union Muslim League and the Democratic Youth Federation of India early in the morning of Thursday.

Four houses were stoned and a car was set ablaze after fresh outbursts of violence in Uduma Mangad.

The owners of the damaged houses were M. Indran Nayar, Shamshuddin, Shyamala, and Vindo. The owner of the burnt car is M. Mohammed Kunhi.

Kasargod has been witnessing violent scenes from the past few days. The latest outburst was triggered by an alleged Indian Union Muslim League attack on a local DYFI leader.

On Wednesday, Sudheesh (26), president of the Baare unit of DYFI, was attacked by a group of miscreants when he was riding home.

The Bhatkal police have beefed up security in the area.
