Kaup Circle Inspector to probe into priest’s death

November 07 2019:  Kaup Circle Inspector Mahesh Prasad has been appointed as the Investigating Officer to probe into the death of assistant priest of Shirva church Mahesh D’Souza (36).

A press release issued by the District Police here on Wednesday said that the appointment of Mr. Prasad would lead to a comprehensive and speedy probe into the death of D’Souza.

The release stated that the assistant priest, who was also the principal of Shirva Don Bosco CBSE School, was found dead in the principal’s chamber at the school in Shirva on the night of October 11, 2019.
 
A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Shirva police station.

There were protests at Shirva village on November 2, 3 and 5.
