Kudroli Temple functionary receives outrageous text messages - police investigating

Mangalore, August 5, 2014: According to several media reports,  Mangalore North police have received complaints that an unidentified person has been sending baseless and mischievous  messages through WhatsApp to Kudroli Sri Gokarnatheshwara Temple treasurer recently.

According to the compliant, temple treasurer Padmaraj stated that he has received hurtful message from an unknown number stating that a religious bigot called ’Janardhan Poojary’ had distributed chicken, mutton biriyani and had desecrated the religious place.

Police said they have traced the address of the person and are in the process of identifying and tracing the accused.  A case has been booked under IPC Section 295 (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs).
