Mangaluru, Jan 4, 2015  : It is officially announced that the  17th Urs of Kundoor Jumma Masjid will be held from January 31 to February 7 at Amblamogaru village.

Addressing media, the Urs Committee Vice President Mohammed Rafique said religious discourses will be held between 7 and 11 pm by scholars of Karnataka and Kerala everyday as part of the Urs.

He said that people from all religions and communities have been taking part in celebrations over the years.

The Urs is celebrated in the name of Valiyullah Hazrat Asayyid Muhammed Rifai Al Bukhari. A religious harmony meet will be held at 6 pm on February 5.

District In-charge minister B Ramanath Ri, Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader, Wakf Minister Khamarul Islam, Minister for Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fisheries K Abhayachandra Jain, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLC Ivan D’Souza, Mangaluru North MLA Mohiyuddin Bava, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple, Kotrattu, Head Padmanabha Rai, Holy Cross Church Parish Priest and others will take part in the programme. Masjid President Sharif, Secretary Ibrahim and Treasurer Aboobakar were present.
