Mangalore, Dec 4: Lifestyle International, a part of the multi-billion dollar Landmark Group based in Dubai, has plans to expand in India. Having focused only on large cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur so far, the company plans to expand to small cities such as Kanpur, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Coimbatore, and Mangalore in the near future.
The largest Lifestyle store, sprawling over an area of 1.25 lakh square feet, is located in Noida. So far, Lifestyle International has set up 15 lifestyle stores and 10 home centres in India. By 2013, the company plans to set up around 50 stores in India. Of these 35 will stores will be retailing products such as clothing, footwear, and cosmetics.
Shankar Suryanarayan, the chief marketing officer of Lifestyle International, said that the company netted around Rs 800 crore in 2008-09, which is expected to soar to Rs 1000 crore during the current fiscal year.
