Love Jihad and forcible conversion cause social unrest – MLC Monappa Bhandary

Mangalore, Oct 23, 2012 : MLC Monappa Bhandary said that the root causes of confusion and chaos in society are forcible conversion and love Jihad.

Addressing the gathering at Bakrid Message, an event organized by the Akhila Bharatha Beary Parishad at the Jamiyyathul Falah Auditorium in Mangalore on Monday, he urged Muslims to refrain from communal activities.

Demanding to know why Muslims hate other religions, consider people belonging to other religions as Kafirs, and try to convert them into Islam, he said that Muslims who support Pakistan and shout slogans for Pakistan cannot be considered Indians.

Mohammed Kunhi, preacher and manager of Islamic Publication Shanthi Prakashana, delivered the Eid message and explained the significance of Eid-ul-Adha.

Y. Mohammed Kunhi, member of the State Wakf Board, inaugurated the event. Abdul Azeez Baikampady, president of Beary Parishad, presided over the event. Among those present were Harikrishna Punarooru, former president of Karnataka Sahitya Parishad, and Haider Parthipady, JD(S) leader.
