MMV Painting Inter-School Finals on Oct.30

Mangalore, Oct 29, 2012: The MMV Drawing Competition Mangalore 2012 final round will be held at the Lions Seva Mandir, Kadri on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012. The Inter-School competition is being conducted by Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV), Geneva, a Swiss Foundation with local partnership of Kasturba Medical College, Dakshina Kannada District Health Department and Malaria Cell of Mangalore City Corporation as part of its massive drive to create awareness about Malaria among children. The events which is being held in phases, is coordinated by Centre for Integrated Learning, a city based NGO.

The final round of the Inter-School event is being organized following intra-school events that have taken place throughout the month wherein over 5,000 students have participated. The final round will feature students who have topped in their respective schools.

The Awards Ceremony of the event will be held on November 2 at the Town Hall. A Malaria Awareness Walk from Deputy Commissioner’s office and an exhibition on Malaria will also be organized on the occasion.
