Madrassa teacher detained by Kumbla police

Apr 07, 2016; According to reports, a madrassa teacher has been detained by the Kumbla police on charges of harassing young students.  Abdulla Maulavi (46) from Kannur Irikkur, is working at Mavinakatte Madrassa.  He has been detained following complaints from parents of the Madrasa students.

Though the teacher had gone missing after finding out the there are possibilities of parents filing case against him, he was nabbed by the police.    It is said that several students below 15-years of age have been subjected to sexual harassment by this Madrassa teacher.
