Man dies after being hit by lorry

Udupi, April 19, 2016: A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a mini-goods lorry on NH 66 at Heroor village coming under Brahmavar police station limits on Monday. According to the police, Shankar Shetty was waiting by the side of the road to cross it at Heroor, when a mini- goods lorry, which was overtaking another vehicle, veered to extreme left and hit him. Shetty was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced brought dead.
