Man hit by train, dies

Udupi, Oct 26, 2017 : A man was killed when he was hit by a train near Admar village coming under Padubidri police station limits on Wednesday.

The police identified the deceased as Shankar Palan (62). He had gone out from the house at around 5 a.m. He was hit by the train between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m.

The body was found next to the railway tracks about 150 metres away from the Admar railway gate, towards Nandikur.

A case of unnatural death has been registered. Investigation is on, the police said.
