Man killed in accident

Udupi, May 14, 2016: A man was killed when a van collided with his bicycle near Barkur village coming under Brahmavar police station limits on Friday.

According to the police, Sanjeeva Poojary (62) was carrying milk in cans from Kuchur to the milk dairy at Barkur, when the van that was on its way from Brahmavar to Barkur collided with his bicycle. A severely injured Sanjeeva Poojary was first rushed to Pranav Hospital in Brahmavar and then shifted to the Kasturba Hospital in Manipal, where he died.
