Man kills elder sister’s husband with sharp weapons

Nagesh (56), a mason of Haleangady, was not able to get along with his wife from the past several years, owing to which he would spend his nights in Omkareshwar Bhajan Mandir. Sometimes, when he visited home, he would get into fights with Ajith (25), his wife’s brother. Ajith objected to his brother-in-law coming home.

On Nov 25, Sunday, when Nagesh visited his wife at around 9:00 p.m., he got into a fight with Ajith, who was already there. In the heat of the quarrel, Ajith lost his temper and attacked Nagesh with a sharp weapon and a bat. Nagesh sustained serious injuries on his head, face, neck, and other parts of the body and died immediately. When he came to know that his brother-in-law had died, Ajith fled the place.

The Mulky police registered a case. On Nov 26, Monday, the police arrested Ajith. Reportedly, Ajith is the local rowdy and had a few cases registered against him.

Nagesh’s body is now in the morgue of Mulky Government Hospital.
