Mangalore: 3-day state level AICUF convention inaugurated

Mangalore, Dec. 8, 2012: Eric Ozario, Gurkar of Mandd Sobhann has called upon youngsters to come together to protect their regional identity at a time when globalization was threatening to destroy the identity and uniqueness of regional languages.

He was speaking after inaugurating the three-day state level convention of the All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) at Shanti Kiran, Bajjodi, in Mangalore on December 8, Saturday. The theme of the convention is “Unite to ignite new hope.”

 
Ozario further urged youngsters to fight globalization and corruption unitedly and work towards building a society where justice is promised to all. Speaking on AICF, he said it was launched 40 years ago to work for the liberation of the oppressed and downtrodden.

Among others present were AICUF National Advisor Selvin Raj and State Secretary Natalia. Representatives from 25 units of AICUF from various colleges in the state are participating in the convention.
