Mangalore, April 5, 2013 : A total of seven persons sustained injuries in two separate accidents reported from the city on April 4, Thursday.
In the first accident that took place at Kannagudda, Saripalla in the afternoon, a woman was injured when a stationed bus named Naveen Travels rolled down a steep ditch after a breakdown in the brake vaccum. If four passengers in the bus jumped out, a woman named Violet of Kannagudda sustained injuries. The bus operates on the Mangaladevi-Saripalla route.
In another mishap, six passengers including three women and two children who were travelling in an Alto Car were injured when the car turned turtle near Adyar on Thursday afternoon. The accident took place when the car was moving towards Arkula from Jokatte.
The injured are being treated at Indiana Hospital. According to sources they were on way to a wedding at SSV Hall at Arkula. Eyewitnesses said the car was overspeeding.
