Mangalore: Miscreants tie pig head to Madarasa gates

Mangalore Today

Bantwal, Nov 13: Unknown miscreants tied the head of a pig to the gate of a madarasa in a village in Bantwal. The Madarasa is being managed by a Jumma Masjid committee at Ganemmar, a village sandwiched between Ammunje and Badagabail.

Although nobody knows the identity of the miscreants, local Muslims say that this is the work of Hindu fundamentalist groups attempting to disturb communal peace.

The Bantwal rural police visited the madarasa, dispersed the crowds, and removed the pig head. The Madarasa and masjid authorities have urged the local people to maintain peace.

Committee member Badruddin lodged a complaint on the basis of which the police registered a case.
