Mangalore : Under trials clash in district prison again

Mangalore, April 19, 2013 :  The district prison in Mangalore which is notorious for clashes between under trials since long, has yet another clash to its credit. On April 18, Thursday there was a clash between two groups of under trials, say jail sources.

This time the clash was between   the under trials belonging to the Rasheed Malbari camp  and Vicky Shetty gang. It may be recalled here that some persons who were arrested recently in connection with the murder of  Transport firm manager Prashanth alias Pachu, belonged to the Vicky Shetty gang.

It is learnt the clash broke out during lunch time. However, Barke police have denied having received any complaint regarding the clash.

Just a week ago the Rasheed Malbari gang in the prison had attacked Muneer Ahmed, a police informer turned thief who was arrested recently.
