The Directorate of Student Welfare at Mangalore University will organize an inter-collegiate cultural festival titled “Yuvajanotsava” at 5 colleges from October 20 to November 3. Mr. Ravishankar Rao, the director of student welfare, said that the university would organize 28 competitions under the literary, music, dance, fine arts, and theater categories.
Under the literary category, competitions such as quiz, elocution, debate, poetry recitation, and so on will be organized at Dhawala College Moodubidri on Tuesday. Various competitions under the music category will be organized at Mulky Sundar Ram Shetty College Shirva on Wednesday and Thursday. Under the dance category, competitions such as Indian classical dance, folk and tribal dance, and creative dance competitions will be organized at Sarsa College of Arts and Science Mangalore on October 26 and 27. Finally, on November 2 and 3, one-act play, skit, mime, and mimicry competitions will be organized under the theater category at Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple First Grade College Kateel.
The best performers of these competitions will win a chance to participate in the South Zone Youth Festival at the University of Mysore from November 23 to 27.
