Mangalore: Yuva Buntara Utsav attracts large crowd

Mangalore, Sept 9, 2013: A Yuva Buntara Utsav organised at the Omkara Vedike of Bunts Hostel on September 8, Sunday attracted a large number of Bunt community members both young and old. The Utsav was organised to mark the tenth Ganeshotsava celebrations of Sri Siddivinayaka Pratishtana and Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samithi.

Chakravarthi Soolibele, noted columnist, inaugurated the Utsav. In his address, he urged youngsters to  emulate the ideals of the great youth icon Swami Vivekananda.He said the nation which has a large youth force is in  dire need of good leaders and urged youth to develop leadership qualities.

Chakravarthi further  appreciated the contributions of the Bunt community towards the progress of the society.

 The function was presided over by Maladi Ajith Kumar Rai Kodialguttu, Managing Trustee of Sri Siddi Vinayaka Pratishtana. Prof. Balakrishna Shetty, Principal of Kateel First Grade College, Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, Managing Trustee of Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple, Badaga Edapadavau, Rakshith Shetty, film actor and  Yajna Shetty, Filmfare Award winning actress were present as chief guests of the occasion.

Outstanding Bunt achievers namely Capt. Krithi IR Shetty, Apeksha Shetty of Chinnara Bimba. Pramod Alva, Director of Ocean Kids Dance Academy and Prasad Shetty, international weightlifter were  felicitated as part of Yuva Buntara Utsav.
