Mangalorean youth shot dead in Saudi Arabia

Mangalore, Mar 21, 2013 :   A youth hailing from Kuppepadavu  in the outskirts of Mangalore, was shot dead by a person at Qatif, in Saudi Arabia on March 16.

The deceased has been identfified as Mohammad Siraj who worked as a car  driver in Qatif. After his duty hours, he  was walking towards home  which was a mile away when the man shot him dead. The accused later surrendered to the police. Siraj who was rushed to the hospital breathed his last there.

The motive behind the brutal act is not known. Mohammad Siraj  has left behind his wife, two kids, three sisters and a brother. He was the youngest of the five sons of Mohammad and Zubaida couple of Kuppepadavu.

The body has been placed in the mortuary of the Dammam Central Hospital and sources said it may take a few days for the formalities to be completed and the body handed over to the family.
