Mangalore April 25: A meeting was convened in the DC office auditorium on April 24, Saturday to discussion issues related to industrial progress, agricultural development, basic amenities, women and children welfare, implementation of self-employment schemes, cattle rearing, and others.  


The Koraga community and the issues related to it were also discussed. An assessment was made of the community’s previous progress. Various measures that can be taken by utilizing funds allocated by the government were also discussed. The union government has released a sum of Rs 380 lakh and the state government has released Rs 109 lakh for Koraga welfare. 


Secretary B S Ramprasad, Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Panchayat Shivashankar, DC V Ponuraj, and many other officers participated in the meeting.
