Melvyn Rodrigues invited as observer for world poetry fest

Mangalore March 21, 2014: Sahitya Akademi award winning Konkani poet from Mangalore, Melvyn Rodrigues, has been invited as an observer for the World Poetry Festival, to be held in New Delhi from March 21 to 24.

Poets from 22 countries shall participate in this festival ‘Sabad’ being organized by the Sahitya Akademi and Ministry of Culture to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and 100th year of Gurudev  Rabindranath Tagore’s receiving the Nobel Prize. The festivel will be held at Meghdoot Theatre Complex at Rabindra Bhavan.
