Missing advocate’s mother files another petition

Mangalore, June 5: The mother of Preetham Kumar, a young lawyer who has been missing from Jan 2010, has filed a case regarding the mysterious disappearance of her son. The High Court had dismissed the previous habeas corpus petition filed by Preetham’s parents and asked them to cooperate with the police investigation. 

In the recent suit, Preetham’s mother stated that he son has been missing since last year and that she believes that he has been murdered. She also said that her son’s love affair with the daughter of Raviraj, a government official working in Mangalore, is the cause of his abduction and murder. She has also stated that the official is a relative of an influential politician in Dakshina Kannada. 

On hearing arguments from the advocate of the petitioner, the High Court has ordered a notice to be issued to the chief secretary of the state.
