MoU to provide health care to construction workers

Mangaluru, Nov 4, 2016: Reports indicate that  FMMCH, Fr Muller Medical College Hospital and CREDAI,Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India, Mangaluru signed a memorandum of understanding on Nov 3,Thursday to provide health care services and facilities to construction workers and their families. These services and facilities will be provided either for free or at concessional charges to construction workers employed by official members  CREDAI Mangaluru.


Rev Richard Coelho, Director, Fr Muller Medical College Hospital, Mangaluru and D B Mehta, president, CREDAI, Mangaluru signed the MoU. The construction industry contributes 8% of India s GDP and employs 40 million workers. CREDAI, Mangaluru members employ more than 10,000 workers. The two institutions have jointly taken this initiative to provide quality healthcare to segment of labor force that otherwise does not have easy access to health services.
