Modi campaign in state has sensitized voters on BJP achievements: Nagaraj Shetty

Mangalore, May 3, 2013: B Nagaraj Shetty convener of Dakshina Kannada district BJP election campaign committee said that the BJP  has said that Gujarat CM  Narendra Modi’s speech at Bangalore, Belgaum and Mangalore has helped to enlighten the electorate on the achievements of the BJP government.

Speaking to press men at the District BJP office on May 3, Friday, he said the BJP workers in the district are conducting repeat door to door campaign at least  2-3 times as it would help in disseminating information regarding the achievements of the BJP government in the past five year period. He was also confident of a BJP victory in the upcoming elections.

He further  urged voters to  exercise their franchise in large numbers and ensure victory of BJP candidates

Commenting on former MLA Vijaykumar Shetty’s statement on second vented dam at Thumbay,  Monappa Bhandary said that the dam works are going on and  will complete in 2014. Bhandary charged Shetty of misleading the public through false statements.


Bhandary was also critical of senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojari  and accused Poojari of following double standards. He also said Poojari did not have any hold over his tongue. The BJP cannot accept the challenge posed by a person who made contradictory remarks, Bhandary said. He also  accused  Congress of resorting to caste politics.

BJP leaders Nithin Kumar, Sucharitha Shetty, Raghavendra Rao and others were present.
