Mangalore, Dec 24: The inaugural of the District Conference of Dakshina Kannada District Unit of Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association will be organized on Dec 26. During the same occasion, the foundation stone for the New Community Hall will be laid.
During a press conference, the president of the district unit said that Dr. M Veerappa Moily, the union minister of law and justice, will lay the foundation stone for the New Community Hall, which is to be constructed facing the old building of the district unit at 9:30 a.m. on Dec 26.
Later, the District Conference of the Government Employees will be conducted. District-in-charge minister J Krishna Palemar will inaugurate the conference. The chief guests will be the chief officers, MLAs, and MPs of the district. H Sanjeeva will preside over the programme.
Government employees from several taluks have been granted permission to attend the conference by the district commissioner. The authorities concerned have granted leave to teachers so that they can attend the conference, said Sanjeeva.
Prakash Naik, the chief executive of the union; Abdussamad, the state organization executive; and Chandrashekar Bolur and Parameshwar Poojari, the vice presidents, were present during the press conference.
