Molestation: Minor girls depose

Udupi, May 8, 2014: Keshav Suvarna, who was arrested by the police on Tuesday in connection with the sexual assault on two minor girls, was produced before the court on Wednesday.

He was remanded to judicial custody till May 20. Mean while, the two minor girls appeared before the court in Udupi on Wednesday and gave their statement under section 164 CrPC before the magistrate.

Keshav the president of Hejamady unit of VHP also runs a store near Hejamady bus stand. He had allegedly showed the porn video clips in his mobile phone to the two girls and molested them. The victims had come to his shop to buy gift items.

 Shocked by the misbehavior of Keshav, the victims brought the matter to the notice of their parents. Based on the complaints given by the father of the girls, Padubidri police arrested Keshav.

It is learnt that there was a case registered against Keshav in Padubidri Police station in 2012 for torturing a married woman thought repeated phone calls.
