shivarajrai13jul22 1Moodbidri, Jul 22, 2013:  Shivaraj Rai(41), a councilor of Moodbidri TMC, has reportedly committed suicide. Rai  was an active Congress worker of the town and represented the Maniyadi ward in the TMC.

The  reason for his  extreme step is not known. The incident came to light on July 21, Monday morning. He was married just one and a half years ago and  has left behind his wife and a two month old baby.

The news of his suicide has shocked the town. Rai who had in the past contested the elections from the JD(S) had  won from a Congress ticket in the previous elections.
