Mangalore, May 23, 2012 : Mount Carmel Central School in Mary Hill, Mangalore has secured 100 percent SSLC results in the AISSE 2012. All the 21 students in its first Class X batch have passed with excellent scores.
The new system of continuous comprehensive evaluation (CCE) of the CBSE has eliminated the system of allotting marks and awarding distinctions, first class, and so on. Students only receive grades with CGPA.
The school, launched in 2008, is the first central school run by the sisters of the Apostolic Carmel (AC) in Karnataka.
