Mukka parish honors Mayor Rajani Dugganna

Surathkal, Apr 18: The parish of Mukka, located close to Suratkal, has felicitated Rajani Dugganna, the newly elected mayor of Mangalore. Fr. Lawrence Martis, the parish priest of Mukka, honored the mayor on behalf of the other parishioners. 

Just before the stage programme, NRI entrepreneur of Abu Dhabi Leo Rodrigues inaugurated the renovated stage. The parish council of Mukka felicitated playwright Francis Fernandes Cascia, who is the writer of the popular Konkani play “Mataro Chorbela,” and Leo and Laveena Rodrigues. 

Triza Monteiro, the vice president of the parish council, welcomed the gathering. Anita and Sunita compered the programme. Alphonse Pereira, the secretary, proposed the vote of thanks. 

Later, “Mataro Chorbela” was staged for the 49th time on the parish ground.
