Mysuru man drowns in pond at Pajaka

May 11 2016: According to reports, a person accidentally slipped into a pond and was drowned at Pajaka in Kurkal village coming under the Shirva police station limits on May 10 Tuesday.

The police said, B.L. Prahlad Rao had come with his family from Kuvempu Nagar, Mysuru, to attend a function at Pajaka.  Rao, his sons Vijayendra (35) and Raghavendra, and grandson, Kashyap, went to have a bath at Vasudeva Tirtha pond at around 7.45 a.m. But Vijayendra accidentally slipped while having bath and drowned.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the body. A case of unnatural death has been registered. Investigation is on, the police said.
