Mangalore, April 27: The constructions of flyover and widening the road projects have been receiving adverse statements from the beginning. The adverse statement is due to land acquisition. So the acquisition of land has become an unsolved problem.
This time, The National Highway Authority of India has left the idea of constructing flyover near Nanthoor, due to unsolved land acquisition problem. The National highway authority had decided to construct seven flyovers under the four-lane project between Surathkal and B C Road. One of the most important projects was a flyover near Nanthoor on national highway.
The main reason to drop construction of fly over near Nanthoor is land acquisition problem and shifting of Mescom electric lane. The NHAI has completed all the essential arrangements for the construction of flyovers here said P Gavasane, Highway Authority Project Director.
‘We have not dropped the idea of constructing flyovers near Nanthoor, permanently. The flyover construction will take place only after handing over required land and shifting of Mescom line from here’, he added.
The NHAI has succeded to finish almost all works of four-lane from Surathkal to BC Road. But unsolved problem at Brahmarakotlu made 700 meter work pending, he clarified.
