Nagathihalli Chandrashekar bags MRPL Karnataka Rajyothsava Award

Mangalore, Nov 17, 2012: Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, the award-winning film maker, has bagged the MRPL Karnataka Rajyotsava Award 2012.

P. P. Upadhya, MD for MRPL, and Vishnu Agarwal, director (finance) for MRPL, will present this award, which comprises Rs. 25,000 and a citation, at an award ceremony scheduled to be held on Nov 18 as part of Nada Habba 2012.

Previous winners of this award are M. Mahadevappa, Amruth Someshwar, Jayanth Kaikini, Balipa Narayana Bhagawat, and Shrinath Marathe.

MRPL, which observes Karnataka Rajyothsava every year, organizes a number of activities for the promotion of Kannada language and culture. The company also conducts a number of competitions for its workers and their families.

A fusion concert by Praveen Godkhindi will form part of the award ceremony.
