Mangalore, Dec 28, 2013: New Mangalore Port Trust, a government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Shipping issued notification inviting applications for filling up 6 Engineer and Managerial posts of Assistant Executive Engineer (Mech.), Assistant Material Manager Gr. I, Assistant Engineer (Electrical) and Assistant Controller of Stores Gr – II with the Mechanical Engineering Department. Interested candidates should send their applications till 27 January 2014.

1. Name of the Post: Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechl.)
Classification: Class I

Pay Scale: Rs. 20600 - 46500
Age limit: 30 years
Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 2 years experience in relevant discipline in executive cadre.

2. Name of the Post: Assistant Material Manager Gr. I
Classification: Class I
Number of seats: 1 post
Pay Scale: Rs. 20600 - 46500
Age limit: 30 years
Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. PG Degree / Diploma in Material Management with 2 year post qualification experience in Materials Management is desirable.

3. Name of the post: Assistant Engineer (Ele)
Classification: Class II
Number of seats: 3 posts
Pay Scale: Rs. 16400 - 40500
Age limit: not exceed 35 years
Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 2 years experience in Electrical works.

4. Name of the post: Assistant Controller of Stores Gr.II
Classification: Class II
Number of seats: 1 post
Pay Scale: Rs. 16400 - 40500
Age limit: between 21 years and 30 years
Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification with 3 years experience in the field of Material Management.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done based on candidates’ performance in the written test or oral interview or both, as may be decided by the management.

Selected candidates will be entitled to port accommodation and medical facilities (for dependents too).
