New format Karavali Utsav 2014

Mangalore, Aug 17, 2014:  The month long Karavali Utsav is likely to get a facelift this year. In the meeting, it was decided to change the format of the Utsav in terms of both quality and quantity. The fair will be in a condensed and compact form this year. The district-in-charge minister directed to make it a 14-day festival, a drastic reduction from its previous form of 40 days.

He also directed to form a five members committee and chalk out the plans well in advance. The DC suggested to make the event grand by inviting renowned national-level artistes, replacing the local talents. He also insisted on avoiding commercial exhibition and replace it with exhibitions by various government departments.
