Newly married woman found dead near husband’s house

Bantwal, April 28: The dead body of a new married woman was discovered close to her husband’s house at Sajipa in Bantwal on April 27, Tuesday. 

The deceased is Fathimath Zuhra (23) of Montugoli in Konaje, who married Abdul Hameed of Sajipa around 3 months back. Her body was hanging from the horizontal pole of the well near her husband’s house on Tuesday. 

Fathimath’s father, K H Moideen Kunhi, said that Zuhra was tortured by her in-laws for not bringing sufficient dowry. 

Accordingly, the Bantwal police have arrested Fathimath’s husband, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law. 

The case will progress as per the post mortem reports.
