Mangaluru, Aug 11, 2016: Nitte University by launching Certificate Programs in 4 regional dialects of the North Eastern States is making an attempt to emotionally connect with the North Eastern States. The Initiatives is inspired and guided by His Excellency Shri P.B Acharya, Governor of Nagaland & Assam, while inaugurating the NAMASTE Centre for study of North eastern states in November 2015. Sri P.B Acharya had called for a healthy dialogue between the North Eastern States and the rest of India. In response to that, Nitte University has reserved few seats for the students from North Eastern states and initiated collaborative research and exchange programs for the students, faculty and talented youth from North Eastern States.
In continuation of these efforts, the University would be launching 4 certificate programs in the North Eastern dialects on Friday, the 12th August 2016. Sri N. V. Hegde, Chancellor, Nitte University, would preside over the function. Dr. Elsa Sanatombi Devi of Manipal University would be the Chief Guest. Dr. S. Ramananda Shetty, Vice Chancellor of the University would be the Guest of Honour.
The program would be held in the K.S. Hegde Auditorium of KSHEMA at 2.00 PM.
