Nominations invited for award to Konkani artistes

Mangalore, Sep 24, 2014:  Applications / recommendations have been invited from Konkani artistes of Karnataka origin, for the annual ‘Kalakar Puraskar’ awarded by Mandd Sobhann in association with Carvalho Gharanne.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000, memento and certificate. The 10th Kalakar Puraskar will be presented at Kalaangann, on November 2 at 6 pm. It is decided that this year an artiste of Karnataka origin, who specially contributed towards the enrichment of Konkani performing arts (music, dance, theatre, or folk-arts), be selected for the award. Applications/recommendations along with a photo, list of achievements, proof and paper cuttings, should be sent to – Mandd Sobhann, Kalaangann, Makale, Shakthinagar, Mangalore -575 016, on or before October 10, 2014.
