Mangalore, May 17: During a high-level meeting convened by Home Minister V. S. Acharya on Thursday, it was decided that the RPI Quarters on the district police office premises will be used as the Police Commissioner’s office.
The quarters will be renovated without making any changes to its heritage looks. The building will be demolished and reconstructed as a full-fledged office. Besides maintaining its heritage look, the office will be fully equipped to function efficiently and will have a conference hall for official meetings.
In the meantime, the commissioner will use the police guesthouse on the DPO premises as his office.
