Parts of Udupi to go without electricity today

Udupi, Jan 31, 2017:Major parts of Udupi district would go without power supply on Tuesday owing to emergency maintenance works being taken up by Mescom.

Power supply would be affected between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in areas catered by 33/11 Kv Hebri sub-station—Hebri, Shivapura, Varanga, Muniyalu, Kabbinale, Someshwara, Madamakki, Santhekatte, Mundadijeddu and surrounding areas. Areas around Manipal fed by 110.33/11 Kv Manipal sub-station, including Shanthinagar, Eshwaranagar, 80 Badagabettu, KMF, Kodange, Nehrunagar and surrounding areas would go without power supply between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Power supply would be affected between 9 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. around Karkala, including Bajagoli, Hosmaru, Mala, Nooralbettu, Miyyar, Renjala, Kanthavara, Sanur, Jodukatte and Karkala Town.

Many areas fed by 110/33/11 Kv Kundapura sub-station, including Beejadi, Gopadi, Hanglur, Koteshwara, Thekkate, Balkur, Hunsmakki, Molahalli, Kogeshwara Industrial Area, Kome, and surrounding areas would go without electricity between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Similar is the case with areas on Kundapura-Byndoor line where power supply would be disrupted between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Areas affected include Vandse, Gulvad, Gangolli, Kollur, Tallur, Mullikatte, Gujjadi, Trasi, Hemmadi, Hattiyangadi, Kanyana, Uppinakudru, Jadkal, Kenchanur and surrounding areas, stated a press release issued by Mescom.
