People of Mangalore felicitate Mr. Mayya of MTR

Mangalore, May 10: The citizens of Mangalore felicitated Mr. Mayya of the MTR brand. Mr. Mayya, who was born in Mangalore, moved to Bangalore at an early age and launched the world famous MTR brand. Later, he sold the brand and established another one, which became just as famous. The citizens of Mangalore honored Mr. Mayya for his business acumen of taking an Indian brand to world consumers. 

Mr. Mayya said that he enjoys seeing the satisfaction on the faces of people enjoying a good meal, owing to which he started the MTR brand. 

President of the DK District Kannada Sahitya Parishad Mr. Pradeep Kumar Kalkura said that Mr. Mayya is a great success not only in the hotel, but also in the food industry. Mr. Harikrishna Punaroor, the former president of the Karnataka State Kannada Sahitya Parishad; Mr. Jayaram Bhat, the CEO of Karnataka Bank; and many others expressed their appreciation of Mr. Mayya.

 

The felicitation programme was followed by a sumptuous dinner, which included rare and traditional dishes such as Nendra Podi, Sukurunde, Batatamdabe, Moode, Chattambade, and others.
