Person arrested for illegal sale of drugs

Surathkal, May 2: The DK SPs special detention squad arrested a person for illegally selling ganja and confiscated 1.850kg of ganja worth Rs 25,000 from him on Friday. The arrested is Prabul Jose (22) of Suratkal.

The accused was arrested at Vamanjur junction following a tip off, said that police. The accused had obtained the drugs from Idduki in Kerala.

The Mangalore rural police have registered a case under the NDPS Act. Jose has been remanded to judicial custody till May 14.
