Mangalore, June 4, 2012 : The price of petrol in Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) outlets all over Mangalore dropped by Rs. 2.21 per litre on the midnight of June 3. Petrol now costs Rs. 78.47 per litre as against the Rs. 80.68 per litre after prices were hiked by Rs. 7.54 per litre on May 23.
Consumers had to pay Rs. 8.25 extra per litre because of the various taxes levied on petrol. The price of petrol now in Udupi is Rs. 78.62.
The price of Xtra Premium branded petrol sold in IOC outlets has reduced by Rs. 2.20 per litre. IOC has also reduced the cost of auto LPG by Rs. 1.28 per litre. The cost of Auto LPG is now Rs. 44.36.
